OPP members making reservations

Seven OPP members have already rented a house close to Swifts Bay near Spencer Spit State Park. Other members are making camping arrangements.

There are many choices of places to stay on the island. The Lopez brochure, which will be available at the April OPP meeting, lists over 20 places. There is camping at both Spencer Spit State Park and Odlin County Park. Of course the sooner you make your reservations the more choices you will have.

Houses to rent can be found on Craigslist such as http://skagit.craigslist.org/vac/1674799286.html and others. Also on airbnb.com such as http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/23211 and other sources. Google “Lopez Island rentals” to find other houses.

OPP’s Lopez Island Paddle & Pedal takes place September 9 -13 2010. Members are welcome to participate for a day, the weekend, an extended weekend, or the entire time. Please make your own travel arrangements and accommodations. Paddles are being planned for each day and bike trips.

Please let us know if you are interested in this outing. We will help members set up carpools and such if interested. Also let us know your plans so we can make sure to get you info on the paddles and pedals. Thank you.
